Performing, Teaching & Mentoring
I began singing at the age of six in my local church choir. This lead to singing solos at weddings, amateur dramatics, private singing lessons &, eventually, music college. I started working as a freelance performer & educator in 2004, devising & running workshops from 2005 & directing & script writing for projects since 2011.
I have performed extensively with English Touring Opera, as well as working for Longborough Festival Opera, Iford Arts, The Early Opera Company, Opera della Luna, Charles Court Opera, Pop Up Opera, Opera Minima, Grims Dyke Opera, HMDT Music, The Merry Opera Company, Opera Minima, Opera Brava & Surrey Opera.
I have over 20 years of experience working with people of all ages, abilities & experience from every walk of life. I started working for English Touring Opera in 2012, performing in their operas for young people & creating numerous roles in new operas, main stage roles as well as devising projects, running workshops & directing .
In 2014 I joined W11 Opera as Assistant Director, taking on the role of Stage Director in 2016 & Artistic Director in 2020.
I became Artistic Director of Ignite Music in 2022 & established The Old Shop - Creative Space in 2025, adding my teaching practise, The Hingham Voice Studio, in 2026.

I am an experienced performer in many musical genres, specialising in character & comic roles.
Performing is in my blood & I am also always looking for new opportunities & experiences to further develop my craft.

At The Hingham Vocal Studio I run a private teaching practise which includes promoting good vocal health, vocal technique, drama training for singers, projection/spoken voice, workshops, masterclasses & performance opportunities. All abilities welcome!

I have been devising & running workshops since 2005. Projects have included participants of all ages, abilities & needs including SEND groups, people who have or are experiencing homelessness & people living with dementia & their carers.
