I am a performer, teacher, stage director, writer & illustrator with over 25 years of professional experience.
Performance highlights include: Lady Jane (Patience) at the Theatre Royal, Norwich. Third Lady, Milly (Silver Electra) at Snape Maltings, Valentina (Laika the Spacedog) at the Science Museum, South Kensington, Mrs Plumpster (Borka) at Kew Gardens, Third Lady (The Magic Flute) all these roles were for English Touring Opera. Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro) at Kilden Theatre, Norway & Longborough Festival Opera. Ericlea (The Return of Ulysses) for The Early Opera Company & Iford Arts under the baton of Christian Curnin, & numerous Gilbert & Sullivan roles at Buxton Opera House for Charles Court Opera & Opera della Luna.
As a director I have created productions for Buxton International Festival (The Dancing Master), English Touring Opera (Zoo - Director, Shackleton's Cat - Revival Director, 2016 Spring Tour Staff Director), W11 Opera (The Price, Cutlass Crew, Shadowtracks, Jukebox, & It's Your Move). & the UK tour of Borka, a children's opera based on the 1960s John Burningham picture book, for Ignite Music.
As a teacher & educator I have been devising & running projects since 2005. I studied music at Trinity College of Music, London at undergraduate & postgraduate level & then specialised in Arts Education as part of my MA in Arts Management & Administration from Birkbeck, University College London. I have worked with many companies including: ETO, Streetwise Opera, W11 Opera, The Merry Opera Company, Opera Minima, Ignite Music, & Norwich High School for Girls.
As a creative & educator I have recently set up THE OLD SHOP (Hingham) - CREATIVE SPACE which is the base for the HINGAM VOCAL STUDIO which is my teaching practise, as well as a monthly pop-up gallery (planned from April 2026), artists' studio space, & workshop room.
I have also recently established SHORT RUN which offers me a platform to share my illustrative work which includes a range of handmade cards, ornaments & picture books.
